I’m a principal product designer at Ayin and one of two founding members of our AI Accelerator. For eight years I’ve worked on multi-tenant plan and provider products: claims, authorizations, care management, and more recently agent-assisted ops. I use Figma and code (Claude Code included) so ideas get tried in real UI before the org bets on them. I’m based in Sisters, OR, and open to Boise, Bend, or remote.

How I work

My process, short version

Same loop on dense ops tools and GenAI surfaces: find the real friction, sit with the people in it, make something they can try, then test before the org bets big.

  1. Find the opportunity

    System gaps, design debt, business pain, broken process—whatever shows up in the work, not a fixed checklist.

  2. Spend time with people

    Business stakeholders and end users. Ride-alongs, interviews, plan partners, call center floors—wherever the truth lives.

  3. Make it real enough

    Mid-to-high fidelity mocks, prototypes, eng in the room early. Sometimes HTML/CSS or Claude Code so ideas run before we commit.

  4. Test, then ship

    Qualitative feedback, Maze when it helps, then get it into product. Regulated work means safe defaults and human gates stay non-negotiable.

  • Co-founded the AI Accelerator with one other lead. We prove GenAI ideas with prototypes first, ship workflow products, and coach teams on Claude Code.
  • Shipped Ayin Iris (2026; claim inquiry and cases, $250K+/yr) and designed AI Claims with real human review.
  • Built Ayin Wiki on Bedrock with an MCP server (Okta) so people connect their agents, and packaged the Figma system so models start with our actual components.
  • Before that I stood up the design practice and system, led the PHTECH → Ayin rebrand, designed call-center notes into CIM, shipped a pre-auth/referral redesign (~90% fewer errors), and worked care management.

A bit more about me

I’m Travis. I live in Central Oregon and I’m looking for roles where product design meets real AI tooling: agentic workflows, GenAI surfaces, and teams that want someone who can own the craft and still ship a working prototype.

Most of my career is healthcare ops software. The data is dense, multi-tenant rules are unforgiving, and partners feel every broken form in their SLA numbers. That experience maps pretty directly to enterprise AI, where what you’re really shipping is trust.
