Who this covers

Information I collect

Depending on how you use the site, I may collect:

• Contact form data — name, email, optional phone number, message content, and whether you chose email or text.
• SMS opt-in data — mobile phone number and your explicit consent when you use “Text Travis,” plus the timestamp and source of opt-in.
• Technical data — approximate IP address, browser type, and request metadata needed to run the site API (rate limiting, security, delivery).
• Analytics — privacy-conscious analytics (for example Microsoft Clarity and Google Analytics with IP anonymization where configured) to understand site usage. These tools may set cookies or similar technologies.

I do not sell your personal information.

How I use information

• To respond to recruiting, collaboration, or other messages you send.
• If you opt into SMS: to send and receive texts about your inquiry (for example follow-ups about a role, scheduling, or next steps). Message types and frequency are described in the Text Messaging Terms.
• To operate, secure, and improve the website and contact systems.
• To comply with law and carrier / messaging platform requirements.

SMS / text messaging

Texting is optional. You must actively check a consent box on the “Text Travis” form (it is never pre-checked). Consent is not a condition of browsing the site or emailing me.

Sharing

I may share data with service providers who process it on my behalf, such as:

• Hosting and APIs (for example AWS for the site contact API and email delivery).
• Messaging providers (for example Twilio) when SMS is enabled.
• Analytics providers as noted above.

These providers may only use data to provide their services. I may also disclose information if required by law or to protect rights and safety.

Retention

Contact and SMS opt-in records are kept as long as needed to handle your inquiry, maintain consent records for compliance, or as required by law. You can ask me to delete contact records by emailing [email protected] (subject to legal retention needs). For SMS, reply STOP to end messaging.

Security

I use reasonable technical measures (HTTPS, server-side processing, rate limits) to protect information. No method of transmission is 100% secure.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13. I do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Your choices

• Email me to request access or deletion of contact data where applicable.
• For SMS: reply STOP to unsubscribe; HELP for help.
• Control cookies via your browser settings where analytics tools are used.

Changes

I may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when I do. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
