Principal Product Designer · Mar 2023 – Present · Co-founder, AI Accelerator Team
Senior Product Designer · Nov 2017 – Mar 2023
Principal Product Designer · Co-founder, AI Accelerator Team
- Co-founded the AI Accelerator Team (one of two founding members): defined charter, practice, and how the org proves GenAI priorities from concept → validated prototype → production-minded product.
- Lead design for GenAI and AI-workflow initiatives via AI-assisted design, prototyping, and rapid iteration.
- Designed and proved out an AI Claims Adjudication engine for GenAI-assisted claims decisioning in plan operations.
- Designed Ayin Iris, an enterprise inquiry and case-management platform: in-product claim inquiries and operational questions route into a ticket workflow for claims analysts to triage, respond, resolve, and close—with role-based secured PHI access for Claims, Authorizations, and related entities. Delivers $250K+ in annual organizational savings.
- Built Ayin Wiki on Karpathy-style LLM wiki foundations and AWS Bedrock: raw uploads → structured knowledge base; access via authenticated web login and MCP server for agent/tool integration.
- Converted the organization Figma design system for LLM consumption and paired it with Ayin Wiki so teams can start projects with design tokens, components, and patterns available immediately—keeping AI-assisted and human-built work aligned with internal and external product UI.
- Enable internal teams to ship AI-assisted tooling—including self-serve report generation and a monitor for OHA and government sources for current regulatory guidance—with design guidance and Claude Code / LLM coaching from idea through prototype.
- Partner with product, engineering, and operations on regulated-domain tradeoffs (safe defaults, human-in-the-loop, permissions); elevate craft standards through critique and design guidance.
Selected product impact (Senior → Principal)
- Led end-to-end redesign of pre-authorization and referral submission with provider and health-plan research—IA segmentation and guided flows that reduced submission errors by 90% and cut plan-side rework.
- Designed care management with external SMEs; universal survey/assessment and configuration UIs for data-dense enterprise admin.
- Established a comprehensive Figma design system; directed rebrand (PHTECH → Ayin) and designed/developed the company website.
Product Designer — SIX CRM
Feb 2016 – Nov 2017
- Designed multi-tenant B2B subscription e-commerce and CRM workflows; design system, rapid prototypes, usability testing.
- Close partnership with engineering and stakeholders; product acquired by a competitor.
Dedicated Crew Chief — United States Air Force
Apr 2004 – Apr 2010
- Supervised and mentored teams on mission-critical aircraft systems; safety, reliability, and readiness in high-stakes environments.
